The Resort of Powder Skiing
Fernie Alpine Resort can be found in proximity to Fernie, British Columbia (Canada). Located on the Lizard Range (which is a great range name), the resort is arguably a must-see for snow lovers-it is the ski resort with the highest annual snowfall from the Canadian Rocky Mountains and one of the best for powder skiing!
With an average annual snowfall of 344.4 inches (875 cm) and 142 runs that already have a name, there are plenty of skiing opportunities in Fernie. It is estimated that the resort has around 2,500 acres (10.1 square km) of skiable terrain, including areas for tree skiing with a vertical drop of 3,550 feet (1,082 m) and 5 alpine bowls. Better yet, the resort includes five Legendary Bowls: Lizard Bowl, Timber Bowl, Cedar Bowl, Currie Bowl, and Siberia Bowl.
